La Symantec, tramite twitter, ha precisato che il codice rubato riguarda la versione del 2006 quindi (in teoria) basta avere una versione aggiornata per non avere problemi.
Le motivazione che hanno spinto a questa azione i ragazzi di Anonymous sono le seguenti: la liberazione di numerosi membri del gruppo che sono stati arrestati, tutti tranne uno .. “Sabu” (vero nome Hector Xavier Monsegur). Sabu fu arrestato nello giugno scorso e per evitare la pesante condanno che gli era stata inflitta (124 anni di carcere) ha deciso dicollaborare con l’FBI. Proprio la sua collaborazione ha portato all’arresto di altri numerosi esponenti del gruppo più famoso di hacker.
